What it is
Poe is Quora's multi-model chat app. For each conversation you pick a bot: a text model such as GPT-5 or Claude-Sonnet-5, an image or video generator, or one of the bots other users have built. You can bring several models into one thread to compare answers, and group chats hold up to 200 people.
Who it suits
It works best if you want to try several providers without paying each of them, or if you're a developer who wants one API key that reaches many models. If you only ever use one model, paying that provider directly is simpler.
How pricing works
Everything runs on points. Each bot shows what a message costs, and the large models use up an allowance far faster than the small ones. Free users get a daily allowance that resets every 24 hours. In the UK App Store, Basic is £4.99 a month or £49.99 a year and Plus is £19.99 a month or £199.99 a year. Subscribers can buy add-on points, which Poe prices from $30 per million, and those last a year. The UK is on Poe's list of countries where you can subscribe on the web, iOS and Android.
Where it falls short
Points make spending hard to predict, and the help centre doesn't say how many points each plan includes. Poe's privacy policy says model providers and bot developers can receive the contents of your chats, and bot developers may store your chats on their servers to train their models. Keep confidential work elsewhere.
