What it is
AI Explained is a YouTube channel, published under the name 'AI Explained', that examines new frontier AI models and what the published evidence says about them. Recent titles cover model releases and their documentation, for example "Claude Fable 5 - Full 319 page Breakdown" (10 June 2026) and "Claude Mythos: Highlights from 244-page Release" (8 April 2026), as well as AI-lab news and safety debates.
Cadence and back catalogue
The channel's public feed, checked on 30 September 2026, lists 15 videos between 8 April and 24 September 2026, the latest being "Opus 5.5: How Close Are We to Automated AI Research?". That is roughly two to three videos a month, with gaps of two to four weeks, such as 14 June to 2 July (18 days) and 24 April to 20 May (26 days). The feed shows only the most recent videos, so it does not show the full archive or when the channel started.
Who it suits
It suits people who follow AI closely and want a single presenter to read long release documents, compare models and flag weak claims. It is not a daily news service, and episodes assume you already know the main labs and model names.
