What it is
"AI For Everyone" is a non-technical introduction to artificial intelligence taught by Andrew Ng, founder of DeepLearning.AI and co-founder of Coursera. It's built for managers, non-engineers and anyone who wants a working vocabulary for AI rather than the ability to build it.
Syllabus
Four weekly modules: what AI is and isn't, including machine learning terminology and what today's AI can and can't do; how AI projects actually get built, covering data and workflow basics and how to pick a project; how to introduce AI inside a company, with case studies, team roles and a transformation playbook; and AI's societal effects, including bias and job displacement.
Format and time
Self-paced on Coursera: roughly 6 hours 54 minutes of video across 35 lessons plus 4 graded assessments, on DeepLearning.AI's suggested 4-week, 2–3-hour-a-week schedule.
Prerequisites
None. DeepLearning.AI's course page states no technical or business background is required.
Price
Coursera offers a free "Join for Free" (Full Course, No Certificate) option, giving access to course materials and graded assessments without earning a certificate. Earning the certificate costs $49 for 180 days of access, per DeepLearning.AI's own page, with financial aid available. Coursera's page also shows a generic subscription upsell, though it doesn't specifically name Coursera Plus for this course.
Outcome
Completion earns a shareable Coursera certificate. It's a strategy and literacy course, not a technical one — learners wanting to write code or train models should look elsewhere in DeepLearning.AI's catalogue.
